Have you had a German pancake before? They are great. They are easy and delicious and can be made as a sweet or a savory dish. If you have a pan with some drippings left after making dinner, throw the batter into the dish and bake. It will be deliciously savory. If you would rather make it as a sweet dish, follow the instructions in this recipe.
Preheat oven to 415 degrees.
4 Tbs. Butter
1 Cups Flour
1 Cups Milk
.5 tsp. Salt
With your oven preheated, add your butter to the baking dish. Place into the oven. Once the butter has melted, remove the baking dish from the oven and set aside.
In a medium sized mixing bowl add the flour, milk, and salt. Whisk until no lumps appear.
Add the six eggs and whisk well.
Pour the batter into the baking dish and place into the oven. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until the sides have peaked and are browned beautifully!
I love to serve mine with lemon juice and powdered sugar. You can also use toppings like jam, jelly, Nutella etc.
