Tuesday Fleet Feet Fun run. We kept it short and sweet but fast. I've been chasing Matt lately. He's a faster runner than me and I try my best to keep up. I'm not doing too badly!
A couple of walks. I get out of work early enough that I am able to need in a few miles before I have to go pick up the girls from school. The past two days I've walked by the finish of the Fox Cities Marathon and I can't help but feel happy walking by this:
These numbers are spray panted all over the roads in the entire valley. Obviously this is mile 26 of the full marathon. #Pride
Last night was great though. PaceSetters organized a scavenger hunt for members only. You had to figure out the clues and run to the location and do a certain pose in front of the answers.
If you did it in the most efficient way possible, you'd end up with about 5.5 miles. We ended up with about 6.5 miles but we did get all 10 answers correct and won 3rd place to finish with all 3 correct.
|We totally stepped in front of these people about to take their picture with the lion.|

On Saturday I have St Joe's 5k that I'm signed up for that should be fun as well. It's close to home and I will probably run to the start (about 1.5 miles) as a warm up. After, they give you lots of great food and there are tons of door prizes.
So even though the marathon is over, I'm not in the post marathon blues. This weather is making it ridiculously hard to have the blues and it helps to have a ton of organized runs available to me. I do think next year there is a good chance for a possible spring marathon though...We were talking about it with the next PaceSetters president and he seems to have a really fun idea in store for a travel marathon in May....
I know I said I wouldn't do a marathon next year but Mike's schedule at work is changing in the upcoming weeks and this new schedule could possibly make it easier to train for one...soooo....you know how the wheels start turning....
